Levidi is a picturesque village located in the central part of Arcadia, Greece, known for its traditional architecture and scenic views. To visit Levidi, you can follow this suggested travel plan, starting from Athens, which is the closest major city and an ideal starting point.
Step 1: Arrive in Athens
Most international flights will land at Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos). From here, you have multiple transportation options to reach Levidi.
We recommend to plan your arrival to Athens by Tuesday, September 2nd 2025, as we are planning pre-wedding events starting Wednesday, September 3rd and until the wedding day.
Step 2: Journey to Levidi
Transport Options from Athens to Levidi
The village of Levidi is about 160 km (approximately 100 miles) from Athens, and the drive takes around 2 to 2.5 hours. Here are the travel options:
By Car (Most Flexible Option)
Rent a car from Athens. The drive is straightforward, taking you along the E65 highway and the EO Arkadias roads.Advantages: You can stop along the way and explore other villages or scenic spots in Arcadia.
By Bus
You can take a bus from Athens Kifissos Bus Station to Tripoli, which takes around 2 hours. From Tripoli, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Levidi (about 30 minutes).Note: This option is a bit less flexible but is good for those who prefer public transport.
By Train
Take the train from Athens to Tripoli, which takes about 2 hours. From Tripoli, you’ll need to take a taxi or local bus to reach Levidi, which is approximately 20 km away.
